In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
